Geoff has over 30 years experience in capital markets with major global institutions and was ranked as number one in equity analysis in the US. Active as a Chairman and Director of private and publicly listed companies, Geoff has specific expertise in corporate advisory, strategy, governance, financial, and operational planning and has an industry-leading knowledge of company valuation.
Mary brings 20 years of progressively responsible sales management, account expansion, creative marketing and operational expertise to the table. Having started her career at BBN, building out the original commercial Internet business base – Mary then moved to contribute to top marketing solutions companies. At DoubleClick, she led the North American market automation team – driving email marketing, ad serving, analytics, search and CRM technology sales. Subsequent roles at a number of startups, which were later sold to larger technology firms – she made significant contributions at FAST Search (later part of Microsoft) and BloomReach, where she ran East Coast and then mid-market nationally before joining PBB. Mary holds a BA in English from Long Island University and a MBA from Simmons College in Boston.
As the Vice President of Engineering, Brian brings a wealth of technical expertise to Personal BlackBox where he and his team drive the architecture, construction and operation of the PBB platform. Brian began his career as an Electrical Engineer in rapid transit control systems for the Metropolitan Boston Transit Authority, Chicago Transit Authority, the Senate Subway in Washington D.C. and others. Leaving rapid transit behind; he moved to New York and went to work in the burgeoning info tech sector.
In New York he found that true engineering skill and discipline was sorely needed. He quickly rose to VP of Software Development at a consultancy building web-based solutions for the financial services market where he stayed for 10 years. He followed that experience working in the field of data visualization with clients in New York and London. Brian is a graduate of Syracuse University with a BS in Electrical Engineering and an MS in Computer Science from NYU.
Prior to launching PBB, Haluk Kulin spent 10 years at Unilever managing some of its most successful global brands. He then focused his attention on new technologies that merged personal data and digital marketing as Chief Strategy Officer at 24eight (New York City) and Director of Brand Strategy at Nitro Group. Most recently, he consulted with companies as a marketing, technology, and change expert. Haluk is a visionary force at PBB, founding the company when he recognized the urgent need for for-profit social enterprises that responsibly promote the value of data for people. With first-hand experience in using data to grow billion dollar global brands, he is passionate about shifting the way companies’ access consumer data to increase transparency and value for both brands and individuals.
Nell Merlino has mobilized more than 20 million people in movements to promote women’s economic independence. Nell created Take Our Daughters to Work Day, started Count Me In for Women’s Economic Independence and launched Make Mine a Million with Hillary Clinton. She also helped develop Walmart’s Women’s Economic Empowerment program and served as Pathways Envoy for the US State Department promoting entrepreneurship. Nell is the author of “Stepping Out of Line: Lessons for Women Who Want it Their Way in Life, in Love, and at Work” from Broadway Books, available on Amazon, and “Cracking the Glass Ceiling and Raising the Roof” in MIT Innovations Journal, Winter/Spring 2013.

Mehul Desai has spent over 20 years in the areas of technology, intellectual property, product development, business development, strategy, and international operations. Mehul co-founded C-SAM, Inc., a global technology provider for secure transaction solutions, which was acquired by MasterCard Worldwide in 2014, and he is founder and general partner of DeZai, LLC, which provides strategic advisory services in areas related to ICT, payments, and innovation. As a longtime management consultant and well-established technology leader, Mehul brings an impressive ability to create new growth and improve operational efficiencies.
Mehul earned his B.S. in Telecommunication Engineering, M.S. in Engineering Management. His experience is as broad as it is distinguished, from his pioneering work in the field of secure personalized transactions to his current mentorship and investment roles. Mehul is the co-inventor of issued patents and pending applications and often speaks at industry conferences on topics related to mobile commerce and payments, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Mehul is an expert-in-residence at the Chicago Innovation Exchange, and supports several non-profit initiatives, including the Global Foodbanking Network, ChildFund International and Global Giving, and has authored two books, March of Mobile Money and August of Money.
Marc Mathieu currently serves as the Chief Marketing Officer of Samsung North America where he oversees all marketing for the company’s line of telecommunications, home entertainment and home appliances. He also oversees the Global Marketing Center of Excellence, which is an incubator for marketing innovation and the hub of Samsung’s U.S. creative, digital, content and brand marketing teams. Prior to Samsung, Marc served as Senior Vice President of Global Marketing at Unilever. He was responsible for the development of Unilever’s global marketing strategy ‘Crafting Brands for Life,’ which supports the company’s sustainable growth ambition of growing its business whilst reducing environmental impact and increasing positive social impact. Marc also served as Senior Vice President Global Brand Marketing at Coca-Cola prior to joining Unilever. He sits on the advisory panel of the Guardian digital and media networks and writes regularly for Campaign magazine, as well as serves as an adviser to the Sustainable Brands Conference.
World-leading visionary, innovator, designer and author, Bruce Mau’s 25 years in design innovation have included collaborations with Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, MTV, MoMA, the Seattle Public Library, the Panama Museum of Biodiversity, New Meadowlands Stadium, and Walt Disney Concert Hall. He has worked with world leaders, including Frank Gehry, Claes Oldenberg, Larry Gagosian and Rem Koolhaas with his work spanning multiple countries, including Saudi Arabia, Guatemala, the United Kingdom, the United States and Denmark. Bruce uses design as a method to produce the future and develop purposeful projects to create positive change in business, education, health, leadership, and security. Bruce is the author of four books on design including “S, M, L and XL” and “Massive Change.”
Jeanne is a sought-after industry speaker who serves on the board of the New York Venture Capital Association, is a member of the Women’s Leadership Board at the Harvard Kennedy School and is an Athena Entrepreneur Fellow for Barnard College. She serves as advisor for many women-focused organizations and is on the Global Board of Trustees of Astia, an organization that funds high growth women entrepreneurs. Jeanne was honored by the New York Angels with the OPEL award, which recognizes Outstanding Professionals for Entrepreneurial Leaders, and was recently recognized by The New York Hall of Science for her work inspiring girls and women in science and technology (STEM) sectors. Forbes described Jeanne as “one of the women VCs changing the world (…) grooming the next generation of female entrepreneurs.”
